LocalSend - free file-sharing program, cross-platform, open-source
I use this often as I draw on an iPad and need an easy, fast way to send images to my PC without having to loop through Google Drive or emailing them to myself. It's not perfect though since I often cannot transfer files from my PC directly to the iPad, so it's only really useful once I'm finished drawing something.

UpNote - free (premium/lifetime options available), cross-platform, offline mode
A great note-taking program that I use to organize notes and ideas. I mainly use it to organize my language class notes and to manually keep track of my "achievements" (namely as a book/game tracker). I may slowly offload the trackers to other sites that also do this process with more in-depth information. This was very convenient to use if I want to write something down on my phone without needing an internet connection.
